Counselling is a collaborative and supportive space where you can explore your thoughts, emotions, and experiences with compassion and without judgment. Whether you're feeling stuck, overwhelmed, anxious, or simply seeking more clarity and connection in your life, this space is for you.

At Work Your Light Counselling, we offer a warm, inclusive, and trauma-informed approach that honours your story and your pace. Our practice is grounded in lived experience and professional training in Person-Centred Therapy, Internal Family Systems (IFS), Somatic Therapy, CBT, DBT, and Narrative Therapy.

We specialize in working with adults (18–65) navigating:

Anxiety & depression
Grief & loss
Complex trauma (CPTSD & PTSD)
Emotional regulation & life transitions
Relationship and attachment challenges

We also offer affirming care to LGBTQIA2S+ clients and create a space where all identities and experiences are welcomed and respected. Sessions are held virtually, allowing you to access therapy from the comfort and safety of your own space, on your terms, in your time.

Hi, I’m Cindy, a Registered Therapeutic Counsellor-Candidate with the Association of Cooperative Counselling Therapists of Canada #3915 (ACCT) and a Registered Counselling Therapist with the Association of Counselling Therapy of Alberta #A5772 (ACTA) .

I support adults who are navigating anxiety, depression, grief, life transitions, and trauma—including CPTSD and PTSD. Many of my clients are high-functioning and caring individuals who often feel overwhelmed, emotionally stuck, or quietly exhausted from trying to carry it all on their own.

I bring both professional training and lived experience to my work. As someone living in recovery from CPTSD, ADHD, and an disorganized attachment style, I understand how hard it can be to ask for help, to trust the process, and to believe healing is possible. My practice is rooted in the belief that we are all worthy of care, compassion, and connection.

My approach is relational, trauma-informed, and client-centered. I am dedicated to working with you collaboratively and intuitively, integrating a variety of evidence-based and experiential modalities including:
